Anyone who deals with the public will eventually deal with someone who is angry, frightened or intoxicated. This regulated Level 2 award gives your team the tools to stop most of those situations escalating and the confidence to handle the ones that do. It covers how communication either defuses or inflames a situation, the human responses that drive conflict, recognising the warning and danger signs early, assessing and reducing risk while an incident is live, de-escalation in emotive situations, and post-incident reporting and support for the person involved. Delivered by a former police officer who spent twelve years doing this for real, using scenarios drawn from your sector rather than generic examples.
